About
Northminster Early Childhood Center (NECC) is a non-profit early childhood program serving the diverse preschool and childcare needs of families in North Syracuse, Liverpool, and surrounding communities.
Founded in the 1960s, NECC has operated continuously as a mission of Northminster Presbyterian Church, providing generations of children with a safe, nurturing, and developmentally rich learning environment.
We are licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and are proud to partner with local school districts to expand access to high-quality early education:
-
A Universal Pre-K (UPK) provider for the North Syracuse Central School District since 2010
-
An Expanded Pre-K (EPK) provider for the Liverpool Central School District since January 2018
At Northminster, we are committed to supporting the academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth of every child—laying a strong foundation for success in kindergarten and beyond.
Purpose
At Northminster Early Childhood Center, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children can thrive. Our programs offer a balance of supervised play, developmentally appropriate learning experiences, creative art exploration, and meaningful peer interaction.
We recognize the importance of each child’s early school experience and are dedicated to supporting their physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual development. Our goal is to foster a strong foundation for lifelong learning in a warm, inclusive setting.
