This program follows Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA), Second Step: Social Emotional Skills for Early Learning, and Heggerty.   The students deepen their literacy skills and pre-reading readiness through sound first approach, exploring phonics based activities in Center Time, and creating literacy based art projects. 

 

In addition, the students work toward mastery of their computation skills through use of ten frames, number bonds, and learning to count by 5's and 10's.  By the end of the year, the students will have learned and mastered skills in Early Literacy and Mathematics, which will lay the foundation for success in Kindergarten!
